Mixing

The High Speed Sprag Mixers are used extensively for the production of potato snack, crackers, hard biscuits, rotary, wire cut and pet food biscuit dough… The Unique ‘Sprag’ beater design has greatly reduced the mixing times on all types of doughs. In most cases up to 40% reductions have been achieved.

Because of the beater design it also allows the mixing of small batches in larger mixers without loss of the mixing efficiency, which gives the machine even more flexibility.

The mixing drum can be arranged to suit various discharge angles up to 170º depending on the customer’s individual requirements.

The curved entablature which forms the top of the mixer can be supplied to suit various options of dry and liquid ingredient feeds.

Spooner Vicars Bakery Systems are able to offer standard or bespoke Dough Feed Systems to suit specific or varied product dough’s, factory disposition and whether fully or semi-automatic operation.

A typical dough feed system includes 2 Roll Dough Feeding, with integral Low Level Tipper, Flared Hopper for storage of the batch of dough prepared by the Mixer, 2 Roll Dough Feed Unit, Inclined Dough Feed Conveyor (with or without Metal Detector & Reject system) removal Kibbler or Rotary Cutter attachments to suit respective ‘soft’ or ‘hard’ dough’s.

Baking

A wide range of ovens designs are available to suit the customer product and capacity needs.

The Spooner Vicars Bakery Systems range of ovens are designed provide the optimum conditions for quality baked products. A number of options are available to enhance the performance and meet the individual needs of each customer.

They are of a modular design to ensure quality standards are maintained and provide a rapid and efficient installation. Each module is constructed from corrosion resistant high temperature material in 2 or 3 meter modular lengths. These modules are then assembled together on site to form the oven. The oven is split into suitably sized zonal lengths of between 8 and 18 meters to create the correct number of zones for optimum baking profile control.
