Judges – Pizza Champion Cup Norway

On March 18, the Pizza Champion Cup Norway will be decided at the Umami Arena in Oslo. This competition brings together Norway’s top pizza chefs, who will compete to see who makes the best pizza. The competition is divided into four categories:

  1. Best of the Best Pizza Champion Chef 2025
  2. Nordic’s Best Gourmet Pizza 2025
  3. Nordic’s Best Margherita Pizza 2025
  4. Pizza Chef of the Year in Norway NM 2025

The purpose of the competition is to showcase Scandinavian pizza baking as the true art form and craft that it is. By organizing pizza-baking competitions and events, and by promoting high-quality pizza in various ways across Sweden and Scandinavia, we hope to elevate standards and appreciation for this culinary art.

The judges always consists of pizza experts, either through competition experience or extensive knowledge and expertise. They may include members of the Swedish pizza-making national team, well-known international figures, and world champion Mike Arvblom.

Pizza Champion Cup Norway Jury News Sveba Dahlen

Giorgio Riggio – Four-time world champion in pizza acrobatics. He is no stranger to the spotlight, having gained significant recognition on the famous British talent show Britain’s Got Talent.

Giorgia Riggio – Daughter of Giorgio Riggio. She has won multiple awards, including at the Pizza Talent Show. At just 15 years old, she co-authored a recipe book with her grandfather Ciccillo. She then began a culinary career and has worked alongside Michelin-starred Italian chefs.

Marius Niva – A well-known chef and pizza expert from Norway who develops pizza concepts for several major Nordic companies.

Simone Pizzuto – His pizza was named Best Pizza in Sweden in 2017 at the Pizza Champion Cup and was voted Best Pizza Online in 2018. In 2019, he won the title of Best Gourmet Pizza in Sweden. Simone has been a key member of the Pizza Champion Cup jury for the past four years, judging competitions in all the Scandinavian countries.

Alessandro Condurro – The fifth generation of the Condurro family, he is the great-grandson of Michele Condurro, founder of l’Antica Pizzeria da Michele. In 2012, he created the “Michele in the World” brand, through which he manages the trademark rights for l’Antica Pizzeria da Michele. Currently, “Michele in the World” has over 60 pizzerias on four continents. Alessandro has expanded his family’s legacy by opening more than 60 pizzerias on four continents, spreading authentic Neapolitan pizza worldwide.

Marco Fuso – An award-winning Italian pizza chef. He runs a pizza school in the UK with three locations: in London, Manchester, and Glasgow.

Michael Mercurio – Won first prize in the Neapolitan Pizza Cup in 2018. He earned his Master Pizzaiolo certification from Academia Pizzaiolo under Enrico Famà in 2019.

David Sommers – A three-time world pizza champion. As a prominent member of the United States Pizza Team, he has competed worldwide. He has won countless awards for both pizza technique and culinary achievements.

Dan Arblom – With over 30 years of experience in the pizza industry, Dan Arblom is a true pizza connoisseur and the co-founder of the renowned Pizza Champion Cup.

Mikael Lundgren – With 30 years of experience in the pizza industry, Mikael Lundgren has worked at every level, from collaborating with wholesalers to becoming a well-known expert on pizza ovens.

Mike Arvblom – Founder of the Pizza Champion Cup. Champion of the World Pizza Championship 2011, where he competed against many legends and celebrities.
