The Middleby Corporation was founded in 1888 by Joseph Middleby and John Marshall. Over the years, Middleby developed into a global leader in foodservice, food processing and residential kitchen equipment, driven by innovation, acquisitions and international expansion.
In 2017, Sveba Dahlen Group became part of Middleby. At the time, the group included the brands Sveba Dahlen, Glimek and Varimixer. As part of Middleby, Sveba Dahlen and Glimek gained new opportunities for international collaboration, market expansion and access to complementary solutions within the wider group.
In 2026, Middleby completed the spin-off of its Food Processing business, creating Midera Food Processing as a new, independent company. Today, Sveba Dahlen and Glimek are part of Midera Food Processing — a group of strong brands focused on equipment and complete solutions for protein, bakery, snacks and food production.
