Mikael Lundgren Returns to the Jury for Pizza Senza Frontiere – World Pizza Champion Games

Mikael Lundgren from Sveba Dahlen will once again serve on the jury for the Campionato del mondo di pizza – Pizza Senza Frontiere, taking place January 20–22. This will be the 46th edition of the competition, held at the Rimini Expo Centre in Italy.

We are extremely proud that our colleague, Mikael “Pizza-Micke” Lundgren, will be part of the jury judging contestants’ pizzas and performances at the World Pizza Champion Games for the second time. To become a jury member, one must either be a former “Pizzamaster,” teach professional pizza making, or possess extensive experience with ingredients, quality, and pizza flavor. Mikael qualifies under the latter category, with his extensive expertise in ingredients, flavor, and pizza-making. His return as a juror is a testament to his outstanding skills in the field.

The “Pizza Senza Frontiere – World Pizza Champion Games,” organized by Ristorazione Italiana Magazine, has experienced tremendous growth in recent years; in 2024, as many as 650 contestants took part.

Professional pizza chefs from all over the world will compete in 17 different categories, ranging from classic Italian pizza to traditional Neapolitan and Roman pizzas. There will also be more modern and creative pizza styles, including dessert pizza.

In addition to Mikael, the jury is composed of industry experts and world-renowned chefs who will evaluate each contestant’s dough, cooking, presentation, and flavor balance. Just like last year, it promises to be a challenging yet delicious experience for Mikael, and we wish him the best of luck in his role as a jury member.

This championship is an important opportunity for cultural and professional exchange, where participants can compare experiences, learn new techniques, and establish international partnerships.
